Using eyeOS doesn’t mean doing away with the applications your company is familiar with.
In the eyeOS platform, web applications can be integrated through a link, whether they’re web applications installed on the company’s servers or services provided by external SaaS. The IT department can manage these links and define in which profiles they are available as well as provide access to them. No need to restart your session each time, as thanks to Single Sign-On technology, when you start the session in the eyeOS platform, you’ll transparently access your integrated web applications in parallel.
What’s more, for those legacy or local applications that you want to continue using, we integrate a XenApp connector in our web desktop platform. XenApp is Citrix technology that lets you virtualize legacy applications. This Hybrid Desktop Virtualization method, as opposed to traditional virtualization solutions, drastically reduces the number of applications to virtualize. Furthermore, as the local client CPU is used in the browser, most tasks are run locally.
Despite the diverse integration technologies used by eyeOS, one thing is constant: user data and files remain under the IT department’s control, defining access according to user profiles, while the cloud-desktop interface is fully customizable to suit the company’s needs and requirements.
