eyeOS connectivity with the existing enterprise infrastructure is done using a middleware that guides the administrators through the different stages, including network setup, backup configuration, updates, support options, system overview, log viewer and power management, that improves service quality and security, and simplifies the job for the IT department. eyeOS’ Middleware effortlessly manages the eyeOS server via web without having to access the Linux layer below and eliminates the need to run advanced commands.

With eyeOS Middleware, administrators can easily:

  • - Connect eyeOS to the company’s existing LDAP or Active Directory. Connection with Active Directory enables eyeOS customers to integrate the complete solution in their local domains of Windows Server.
  • - Connect local hard drives to eyeOS and decide to which group they are assigned (users, backup, etc.)

Furthermore, eyeOS Professional Edition integrates a CalDAV server. This lets Calendar display all the user’s appointments where it is used as the default calendar. What’s more, Calendar can be synchronized with other calendars in other devices via CalDAV server.

The same happens with contacts: thanks to a CardDAV server, the contacts of Contacts are available in eyeOS and in the user’s cell at the same time.

With the CalDAV/CardDAV plugin and a CalDAV/CardDAV server, eyeOS provides simple but powerful integration with a range of devices employed by users and standard applications.
