That said, this is not a new application or add-on: once you are in eyeOS, you have already joined the conversation. The wall made it to the top menu and now it has a spot next to the projects menu. You will find two options: Feed and My Wall. The feed gathers all the activity from the groups you belong to in one place. Use it to stay informed about events within your reach. On your wall, you’ll see all the activity and posts between you and your contacts, as well as your status updates.

In essence, we want to bring social networking to enterprises. Your teams can share ideas, solve problems and learn from each other, increasing overall motivation and strengthening your corporate culture. Many of these interactions will contain very sensitive information, but don’t worry! We relied on Drupal Commons to build our wall, a software that is used by institutions such as the World Economic Forum and the White House. Also remember, it’s a part of eyeOS, so all your data will be securely stored on your own server.

In a high productivity environement, feedback is essential but it must be timely. eyeOS Professional 1.1. ships with eyeSurveys, a polling app that will allow you to gather feedback in the blink of an eye.

With eyeSurveys, you can easily create forms and include all types of questions, such as multiple choice, lists, scales, checkboxes or just plain text, as well as set them either as optional or required. Once your survey is ready, you can preview it to make sure everything is right. When you are happy with the result, you are ready to share it: click on the Share button to create a unique URL that you can forward to anyone, in the exact same way as when you share files. Whenever you want to find out what people are thinking, just click on the Statistics tab, and you will find an overview of the results, with all the data and charts.

Use it internally to collect feedback from your co-workers: find out who wants to participate in the next event or what people’s preferences are for the next office dinner. Use it externally: do market research or gather opinions from your stakeholders. Either way, with eyeSurveys, you can process feedback automatically and make faster and better decisions.

eyeOS grants you control of all your users‘ desktops and XenApp provides access to the legacy applications on your server that cannot be delivered as web services. In a nutshell, you have all the benefits of full virtualization at a much lower cost on your infrastructure.

Get advanced configuration of your system on a per-employee basis, among other features. Depending on privileges, decide whether a user can preview a document with eyeOS Viewer, open and edit it with the eyeOS Editor, open it via a XenApp virtualized instance of the application or open it locally through eyeRun.

With this advanced level of configuration, there’s a real opportunity to save license costs. First identify the needs of all your user groups, and then buy licenses only for those who really need it.
